Participant Cancellation Policy

Any participant needing or wanting to cancel their entry into the event, for any reason will receive a refund of the total entry fees paid to date (not including online processing fees, if applicable), less US$500 administration fee only if written cancellation notice has been received by Calico Racing/ Joyce Forier by January 31, 2018 at 11:59pm Pacific Time. Cancellation notice MUST ONLY be given in email format to: calicoracing@hotmail.com

No fees will be refunded if cancellation notice is received on or after February 1, 2018.

If you register for the event on or after February 1, 2018 you accept that no refunds will be issued if you need to cancel your participation.

All entry fees are non-transferable from one person to another; and may not be deferred to any future events.

Transfers between 6 Day and 3 Day categories: You may switch categories within the same event and year. You may also switch between self supported and assisted divisions.

DROPPING FROM 6 Day to 3 Day:
• If you are dropping down from 6 Days to 3 Days prior to January 31, 2018 and you have only paid your deposit, only the remainder balance for 3 Days will be due prior to January 31, 2018 to complete your entry.
• If you are dropping down from 6 Days to 3 Days prior to January 31, 2018 and you have already paid the entire 6 Day entry fee in full, the difference of entry fee as of the date you registered for the event will be refunded; less $100 administrative fee.
• If you are dropping down from 6 Days to 3 Days on or after February 1, 2018 no refund will be issued, and no administrative fee will be charged.

UPGRADING FROM 3 Days to 6 Days:
• If you are upgrading from 3 Days to 6 Days prior to January 31, 2018 and you have only paid the 3 Day deposit, the remainder deposit difference as of the date of your registration will become immediately due within 3 days of upgrade notice. The remainder balance for 6 Days will be due prior to January 31, 2018 to complete your entry.
• If you are upgrading from 3 Days to 6 Days prior to January 31, 2018 and you have paid the 3 Day entry fee in full, the remainder balance for 6 Days will be due prior to January 31, 2018 to complete your entry.
• If you are upgrading from 3 Days to 6 Days on or after February 1, 2018 the remainder difference of entry fees as of the date of your registration will become immediately due within 3 days of upgrade notice.

Transfers between “Self Supported” and “Assisted” Divisions/ 6 Day vs 3 Day: You may switch categories within the same event and year. Just email me prior to April 30, 2018 and let me know you’d like to switch divisions. calicoracing@homail.com

PLEASE do not ask me to deviate from this posted policy, regardless of circumstance. Please understand that planning and payment for your participation starts as much as 2 year out from race day; with additional significant investment of time and money the moment you register for this unique event.

Cancellation of the event: Calico Racing takes your safety very seriously. It is our utmost goal to provide you with an awesome event! However, in the case of extreme weather as determined by permitting bodies (typically just lightening), issues of National Security, or extreme measures out of the control of Calico Racing we reserve the right to cancel or modify the event for your safety, without refunds or rain dates. Your registration into a race accepts this risk, understanding that Calico Racing has already incurred all costs and work in association with putting on the race.

*Registrants into the 2018 race should be advised to not book travel arrangements prior to December 1, 2017.
